6-Liter Turbocharger Refresh + R&R…

The Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) is the reason that the 6.0L Power Stroke is able to make the power that it does. It allows the 6.0L to displace fewer cubic inches compared to the 7.3L, yet make more power. The advance in technology can come at a price if the truck is not operated properly. Lots of idle time and not running the truck “hard” can cause the vanes to stick and make your truck feel like it has 40,000 lbs behind it. The fueling tables for the 6.0L work in tight conjunction with the turbocharger output to power the truck. If the turbo is having trouble lighting, then your truck will not be able to get out of its own way. This series is designed to show you how to give your turbo a wake up if you feel like your truck is becoming “laggy”.
